Hello joeusers, I am back. I did not log on for quite some time as I was very busy in research. How are all esp. dharmagirl? Just a thought for today. Of late I got an itch for writing. But the ideas in my head refuse to be trapped onto the pages. Why write, I wonder? Do we write on inspiration by the muse or do we force it out. Is anyone listening and like to respond, will be happy to build up from here, I am listening to you! Bye 4 today! Ur fella joeuser traveler, Bon voy...

Faria Alam is a Bangladeshi now settled in UK. Her recent 'sexcapades' with FA coach and CEO created quite a few ripples in the UK media. And, man, she got much richer through her 'dare, bare, and share' games. While many girls ,maybe prettier than faria, are struggling to get 2 square(or even oval) means a day, fishing, working in fields and in sun, she gets it all, without and sweat, tears, and toil. Is the world fair? Or are sex scandals the easiest option for glamourous women to climb the...

I am just wondering about the global redistribution of economic, political and military power in the next few years. Right now, the great U.S. of A. is the sole global superpower, and also the only watchdog of the world, right ? But will things remain the same in,say, the next 15-30 years ? Will USA have the permanent monopoly in world's superpowerdom ? Or, will an upcoming new power outstrip the United States? If so, who shall be the next superpower of the world ? I dont have an answer yet...

The crisis in Iraq. Middle East. The Al Qaida and other muslim-based terrorists. Is this because of inequitous distribution of economic, political and military power in the world. Or, is this a genuine clash of civilizations as some great eggheads tend to think. Just a thought. Why dont we share our views on this?

History had a fair share of pretty ladies. To name a few, Cleopatra, Monalisa, Helen of Troy etc. And ,in the modern times, we had Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Ursula Andress etc. In what way ,were these females considered beautiful- was it Cleo's nose, Helen's face and Monalisa's eyes-those sad, soulful eyes ? Or coming to our times, was it Monroe's seductivenes, Hepburn's cool charms or Liz's sexyness, or Ursula's sizzling oomph ? What do these beauties have in co...

John Muir was america's preservationist,he wanted wild lands not to be touched at all . and had a great fight with G Pinchot who was a coservationist and for wise use of nature's resources. John's writings led to establishment of many national parks such as yellowstone and founding of the sierra club. Audobon was another environmental pioneer and commemorated as the founder of the audobon society. I am not sure, who the first modern american environmentalist is : Muir or Audobon or ?...

I am a nature lover. America the current king of modern tech and destroyer of nature had also many nature poets and nature lovers, some almost mystical. Such as John Muir, Rachel carson, Audobon. One of them is Walt Whitman, whom I have not read in detail though leaves of grass etc in excerpts. But I still faintly remember what I read long ago in univ library while I was doing my masters......a book on ecology was quoting whitman thus..... "If you remember me after years.... look for ...

Long ago, I listened to a carpenters cassette. One of the songs was, "wait....mr postman, wait....". As it was so long ago, I dont remember its lyrics. But its tune still haunts me, like adolescent love. I also liked some other numbers but do not remember now. Can anyone remember them. BTW, what were the popular groups when carpenters group was the in thing. Carpenters and beatles, which one do you prefer or used to prefer, I like beatles too, " money cant buy me love"!

Is Manipur burning out of control? Manipur, a tiny landlockes north eastern state of India bordering Myanmar is simmering with discontent, and the fire if not doused properly may soon go out of control, reducing ,at least, a little slice of the great Indian democracy to ashes. And mind you once it goes to ashes, it will not arise again like the legendary phoenix. The present ugly turn of events started with the episode of caprure and alleged subsequent rape and murder of a local woman, Th ...

Men and women look at even simple things so differently. For example, my wife once asked me to accompany her to buy a shirt for our second daughter. On the way to bye it, she came acrosse a nice baby suit and started bargaining. I reminded her that we came for a shirt and not a baby suit. She told me that she was just enquiring about the prices, that's all. Then we went from shop to shop because she did not find the right shade of color. I asked her to tell me the color she wanted and she s...
